Contaminant Identification

If you have an unknown contaminant growing or collecting on surfaces, in water, or in a product, then we recommend performing a Biological Screen (EMSL Test Code M168). This test will determine if the contaminant is biological or non-biological. If it is biological, we will determine whether it is fungal, bacterial, algae or of another biological group. If it is non-biological and you want it further identified, then we recommend following this up with testing from our Material’s Department as they specialize in identifying unknown particulates.
