Food Adulteration

EMSL Analytical, Inc. provides testing services for food adulteration with meat using a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique capable of detecting various meat species in a product. EMSL test code F132 panel screens for following meat species: pork (pig), beef (cow), lamb (sheep), chicken, turkey, and horse. If requested, EMSL can accommodate the testing of a single meat species (e.g. pork) at a reduced cost.
